North Korea Is Willing For More Talks With Trump

President Trump’s-and by extension America’s-relationship with North Korea has been rather rocky of late. First, it seemed like America and North Korea might engage in a bit of the old nuclear ultra-violence. Next, it looked like the two sides would come to an historic peace agreement.

Then, of course, it looked like thermonuclear annihilation was once again back on the table. Although the rhetoric was much toned down from the days of “rocket man” and “dotard.”

Now, however, it seems like the North Koreans are willing to start talking again. Word is that Kim Jong Un’s regime is trying to secure additional peace talks with the U.S. by the end of September.

The meeting could be held at a time and place agreed between both sides, Vice North Korean Foreign Minister Choe Son Hui said in a statement carried by the official KCNA news agency.

“I want to believe that the U.S. side would come out with an alternative based on a calculation method that serves both sides’ interests and is acceptable to us,” Cho said in the KCNA statement.

“If the U.S. side toys with an old scenario that has nothing to do with the new method… a deal between the two sides may come to an end,” the North Korean vice foreign minister added.

The simple fact that the North Koreans have, for the most part, ceased lobbing missiles over our allies and have toned down their rhetoric is an immense foreign policy accomplishment for the Trump Administration. After all, it was just a few short months ago that we saw the first U.S. President in history cross over into North Korea via the DMZ.

The fact that the North Koreans are once again willing to sit down and talk with us speaks volumes. Just imagine where we’d be if President Jeb! or President Hillary were in charge.

Now what do you suppose the odds are that the Media/Democrats/GOPe are going to try to sabotage these talks?
